Lilly Lazarus, real estate agent at Boulevard Realty, recently remodeled 5604 Flack Drive and we are thrilled to share this beautiful transformation on our blog!
Why did you choose this property? I liked the street and proximity to major highways. Flack is a small, beautiful, tree-lined street that’s so peaceful and family-friendly, yet you’re just a few minutes away from both 59 and the loop.
What do you like about the architectural style of the neighborhood? I like Flack Estates because it’s such a well-kept secret. It’s adjacent to Bellaire, so you have all Bellaire amenities at your fingertips, including being zoned to Bellaire High School, but it’s also very quiet and beautifully wooded.
What was your design inspiration? English Country
Give us some details about the flooring. I’m really happy with how the flooring turned out. The original wood floors were magnificent but needed refinishing. Since we took down some walls, we needed to match the floor in the living room and kitchen area. We decided to put porcelain wood tile that matched the existing floor and it worked out beautifully.
Where is the tile from? Floor & Decor
Which is your favorite piece or room, and why? My favorite room would have to be the living room. I love its beautiful bay window opening that brings in a lot of natural light. Plus, it has those gorgeous refinished hardwoods. My favorite singular piece of the home though is definitely the tile in the guest bathroom. I just love it! It reminds me of France.
What else do you think makes this home a great value? Where do I start? Well there’s the lot size, and the great location in this secret gem of a neighborhood. And then there’s the complete updates to the home: plumbing, water heater, floors, landscaping, stainless steel appliances…the list goes on.
What sort of lifestyle do you think the remodeled property (including design and location) lends itself to? I think it’s perfect for a relaxed and cozy lifestyle. The location is ideal for someone who’s living in the city but wants to be away from the hustle, and the house itself has great flow. By removing some of the walls, we created open space that gives the homeowner ample opportunities.
