Bill Baldwin, broker and owner of Boulevard Realty, was recently featured in Modern Luxury magazine to talk about today’s design trends and what buyers are looking for in homes. Here’s what he had to say:
“Inside, it’s all about white. What buyers want is for their home to be the canvas for their art, furnishings and fashion. Busy colors or overly intricate finishes take the focus away from those things that truly make up one’s style. Increasingly, everyone appreciates a nod to nature, whether it’s french doors leading to a courtyard, huge windows, porches or a screened/climatized area. Similarly, we want low maintenance and abundant, thoughtful storage. Our lives are busy, so we want to come home and have a place for everything with little to worry about.”
